Box Jellyfish Attack Video The Boy Who Died Twice

Box jellyfish toxin attacks the heart, nervous system, and skin cells. The pain experienced by its victim is instantaneous and described like being "branded with red hot irons”. Death can occur as quickly as 2 to 5 minutes.

The boy in this video was stung on the leg by a box jellyfish. Luckily his sister was close-by and dragged him ashore screaming with pain where he stopped breathing. An off duty nurse who was close at hand started giving CRP and revived him only to have him scream with pain once more. Soon after he stopped breathing again and was revived once more. He was eventually rushed to hospital where he was treated with antivenom and recovered quickly. The doctors were surprised that he survived.
